What is a Volunteering Project?
A Volunteering Project gives you the opportunity to volunteer while gaining useful experiences and skills that will enhance your personal, educational, social, and professional development.
The Projects are managed by accredited organisations, which are funded by the Programme to implement actions that respond to major societal issues and promote community development. Within this context, they create positions for young people who share their vision and wish to volunteer in their organisation.
Types of activities:
If you are between the ages of 18 and 30, you can choose to be involved in:
- Duration: 2 – 12 months (Young people with fewer opportunities can participate in activities with a duration of 2 weeks to 2 months).
- Full time: 30 – 38 hours per week.
- Where? abroad (cross-border) or at home (domestic).
–> In case of going abroad, 2 organisations are involved in the process:
the support organisation –located in your country and will help you prepare,
the host organisation – will welcome you in your destination country and provide guidance at all stages of the activity.
–> In the case of a domestic activity, only the host organisation is necessary.
You may participate in only one (1) individual voluntary activity. In justified cases, a volunteer with fewer opportunities, who has taken part in an activity lasting up to 2 months (59 days) may participate in another one at a cross-border level. The total duration should not exceed 14 months.
Nevertheless, you can also take part in more than one group volunteer activity.
- Duration: 2 weeks – 2 months.
- Full-time: 30-38 hours per week.
- Groups of 10-40 young people from at least two countries.
- Where? Abroad or at home.
